He is a lawyer, specialized in economy by Deusto University (Bilbao). He also holds a master degree on taxes by the same University. He started his professional career within the family holding in which the hospitality sector is important. He is a member of the board of the Biscay Hospitality Association from 2007. In 2014 se became its legal advisor and in 2016, the executive director. He has an active role in different associations. He is part of the National Hospitality Federation board (FEHR), the Spanish Hotels Confederation, and the Spanish Hotels and Touristic Accommodations Confederation (CEHAT). Moreover he is full member of the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao.
